Hola, consulta simple. Alguien sabe cómo correr el Return to Castle en Windows 8??

Es bastante sencillo hacerlo andar, solo instala este parche que arregla problemas de compatibilidad en versiones modernas de Windows y añade soporte para resoluciones Widescreen:

Lo ultimo parche es 1.42c e no 1.42a, como indica Steam, puedes descargar lo aqui:

- Fixed hardware gamma control in Windows Vista and later.  HW now defaults to on, and overbright bits defaults to off.
- Changed r_picmip and r_picmip2 defaults to 0 and 1, respectively.
- Removed security warnings for game DLLs.
- Added balancing cvars (sk_*) to game DLL.

Deberia funcionar sin ningun problema, yo lo he probado en mi PC con Win8.1 x64 y funciona perfectamente.
